Areas We Serve: Cave Creek & Carefree

We don't design this part of Arizona from across town. Our founder, Mackenzie Collier, moved her family to Anthem to be closer to her parents and brother in Desert Hills, and fell in love with the area. Their home sits right on the Anthem/New River border, with night-sky views from the terrace that remind her every evening why they came. This is a community we know from the inside: the luxury homes of Anthem Country Club, the custom homes and horse properties of New River and Desert Hills, and the way life out here is built around family, the outdoors, and the desert itself.

‍ ‍

The equestrian connection: This one's personal. Mackenzie grew up in 4-H and FFA showing quarter horses, even winning two state championships in high school, and the family still keeps their horses on her brother's property in Desert Hills. We understand horse-property living from the inside out: the boot and mudrooms that actually handle barn life, the sightlines from the house to the arena and pasture, and the flow between home and barn. If you've struggled to find a designer who truly gets equestrian living, you've found one.

‍ ‍

The architecture and desert we love: What we love most about this area is the way the homes embrace the desert instead of fighting it. Instead of lush lawns, you see cactus, palo verde, and native plants, and the architecture follows suit, leaning into Spanish and Southwest influences: Saltillo tile, exposed wood beams and vigas, stucco walls, wrought iron, arched doorways, clay-tile roofs, and shaded courtyards. We design interiors that honor that language while keeping them current, warm, and unmistakably yours.

‍ ‍

Designing for life out here: Homes in Anthem, New River, and Desert Hills are made for indoor-outdoor desert living. Mackenzie's own parents' home faces state land with expansive New River Mountain views, where bobcats, mountain lions, and countless birds pass through. We design to capture exactly that: framing the mountain views, opening the home to the landscape, and building terraces and outdoor spaces made for the area's spectacular night skies.

‍ ‍

Who we work with: From luxury homes in Anthem Country Club to custom builds and horse properties on acreage in New River and Desert Hills, our clients want a designer who understands how this community actually lives, and who can make the most of the views, the land, and the lifestyle.

‍ ‍

Rooted in the community: We're raising our family here, and we love it. You'll find us at the community center, the splash pads and water parks, and cheering on our daughter who's thriving at Great Hearts. We take the kids to Lake Pleasant to hike, camp, or just throw rocks in at sunset, and we hop on the I-17 to Flagstaff for day hikes whenever we can. Our favorite tables are at Tennessee Grill, Nara Thai, and Encanto. Our roots here run deep, including Mackenzie's brother, Chris Collier, a local Realtor with Hague Partners in Desert Hills.
